- Narrated by a fictionalized classmate, this graphic novel portrays Robert "Yummy" Sandifer, an eleven-year-old African American boy in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood. Yummy gained national attention for the shooting death of fourteen-year-old Shevon Dean. The graphic novel examines the factors that contributed to Yummy's choices, allowing the reader to grapple with their own opinions of right and wrong.
