Big Jim: Jim Larkin and the 1913 Lockout

- In 1913, trade union leader Jim Larkin led Irish workers in a labor dispute against Dublin's industrial employers. Workers were subject to poor working conditions, low wages and deplorable living conditions. Under the leadership of William Martin Murphy, the Employers' Federation initiated a lockout against striking workers. Considered one of the most significant dispute in Irish labor history.
