  • Annotation:
    • Based on accounts from child soldiers, this work of fiction depicts Jacob, a 14-year-old Ugandan who is sent away to a boys' school. He is confident that he and his friends will be safe in the guarded school but they are abducted in the night by the Lord's Resistance Army. Thrown into a brutal war and facing the unthinkable, Jacob and his friends must survive and learn to live with their experiences.
